Refreshal Course on Franciscanism

The Franciscan Refresher Course 2026, titled “Walking Faithfully in the Franciscan Way: From 1226 to 2026 and Beyond,” is a bimonthly online program organized in preparation for the 800th anniversary of the Testament of St. Francis of Assisi. The course aims to deepen the lay dimension of the unique Franciscan-Capuchin vocation by rediscovering the evangelical vision and spiritual heritage of St. Francis. It seeks to renew and promote the vocation of lay brothers, emphasizing the unity of the Capuchin vocation shared by both lay brothers and clerics within the fraternity. Through reflection on the Testament of St. Francis and contemplation of his final surrender to God, the program inspires participants to live the Franciscan spirit faithfully and meaningfully in the modern world.

Pavanatma Province recently hosted a refresher course in celebration of the 800th centenary of. Francis' stigmata. All brothers from our province actively participated in this enriching experience. The sessions were animated by Fr. Joy OFM Cap from St. Francis Province, providing valuable insights and guidance. The program was conducted in two batches, with the first taking place on April 9th and 10th, followed by the second on April 17th.
