Vimalagiri Ashram 

It was felt that our presence in Malabar region is very min- imal and hence there was a proposal to open one more house in this area. The Provincial Council in its meeting on 20th January 1996 decided to start a foundation of the Order at Iritty. Br. Armand Madhavath was deputed to find a suitable place for an Ashram. We purchased 3.23 acres of land in Iritty. Br. Armond and Sebastian Kunnumpurath started their pioneering life on 23rd June 1996. Vimalagiri Renewal Centre was blessed by Mar George Valiyamattam, Archbishop of Thalassery on 19th December 1998.

The new ashram building was built under the supervision of Br. Vincent Kurisummoottil. It was blessed and inaugu- rated on 12th January 2002 by Mar George Valiyamattam. On 22nd Nov. 2008, a family counselling centre, attached to the ashram, was inaugurated by Mar. George Valiamattam, the Archbishop of Thalassery. As a further development, a new chapel was built for perpetual adoration. Fr. Scaria Kalloor, vice provincial, blessed the chapel on 12th Jan. 2009. A large dining hall, kitchen and related space, rooms for counselling a few self-contained rooms, office and rooms to sell religious articles were built in the year 2018. A large vault also was constructed.
